- A: AnswerSame thing happened to my first 85" HiSense. Two years and two months old, it got the black screen of death. I bought this one, but this time I got the 5-year protection. Buyer beware.

Good Price. Decent Functions. Inconsistent Color.
Large and impressive out of the box. TV was easy to physically set up and generally ready to use out of the box. It is relatively light, but since it is large, will require at least two (2) people to maneuver. The TV includes strategically placed and solid handles factory-installed near the top back of the TV for improved handling. The only physical setup is 1) power cord, and 2) either a) attach physical legs or attach hanging hardware. The power cord is relatively short, requiring an extension cord or placement of the power strip very close. The cord hardly extends past the middle of the TV much less to an electrical receptacle. If you intend it to stand on its legs (versus hanging on a wall or suspended from a stand), it has options to install the legs in a wide orientation for better stability or narrow placement to accommodate more narrow TV stands. I opted to to suspend the TV from an existing swivel TV stand. Although, the stand - which was manufactured before 80"+ TVs were an option - said it was limited to 65" TVs, the ~90 pound TV was well below the 135 pound weight limit. The standard hanger orientation on the TV back accommodated a quick 4-screw installation of the hanging hooks for the TV stand hardware. And the TV quickly and easily hooked onto the stand's swivel apparatus. Viewing setup has more options to navigate. The provided printed manual - like most products today - has very little information about the product and little assistance with the finer details of setup (color modes, action settings, viewing options, and integrated Google TV and streaming services). I guess you are expected to go online for this detail. For TV firmware/software updates and other functions, you do need to enter your Wi-Fi network details which has become standard and easily navigated for most consumers. If using an existing streaming option (e. g. Fire Stick), it is essentially plug-and-play. For the moment, that is what I am using, so I have not yet gone through the process of setting up the Google TV options and settings. In addition to its resident Google TV setup, the TV does have some general color modes, action settings, and other viewing options setups. The TV and manual don't give you any insight into those settings, what they are, how they might be best used, suggestions for use, or how they might resolve short-comings or viewing issues. It would be good to know if possible blurring, color inconsistencies, or other less-than-optimal viewing conditions might be resolved with any of these settings (e. g. what best settings for fast action or sports if there are possible issues). Since better sound was one reason for getting a new TV, I originally intended to utilize add-on speakers. However, the TV's existing internal speaker sound was very good and filled our relatively large room even at low speaker levels (typically listen at high teens to low 20s range). And at higher levels, there wasn't noticeable distortion. The TV screen image out of the box appeared impressive and vibrant. And the vibrancy of the screen image appeared stable in static pictures and images (e. g. Home screens, menu screens). However, while watching TV shows and movies (the primary purpose of the TV), the color is unstable and inconsistent. There is a noticeable flickering of color profiles, regularly alternating every few seconds from bright and beautiful vibrancy to a muted, almost black and white, palette in the same image. This is entirely not acceptable, noticeable, and annoying. The issue is very difficult to capture since you don't know when it will occur and since you are taking a digital image of a digital screen image. (I attached sample images to this review - one bright; one dim - to show as best I could the loss of color.) I don't know if this is a common issue with this manufacturer, if it is inherent only to this specific product, or if it is a defect of only my TV. I have contacted Hisense and will see their response and intended solution. I acknowledge that the price for this TV - relative to other similarly sized TVs with similar functions - was very good. But for even basic viewing enjoyment, fluctuating and flickering image quality cannot occur at any price level.

Very Satisfied with Purchase
This is my first time using this brand. I thought I would give it a try due to the great price. The set-up was extremely easy from unboxing to powering up and signing in to all accounts. It easily connect to our NAS (network drive). I did adjust the picture based on another customer review regarding the "soap opera" view. I like that you can disable the blue light for eye safety! Overall, great picture! The built in audio is load but I chose to keep my sound bar for more depth. For the price this was a great choice and the family loves the new addition!

Need to be seen in person to fully appreciate.
I recently purchased this 85-inch 4K LED TV and have been incredibly impressed with its performance and features. The picture quality is simply stunning. Colors are true-to-life and incredibly vivid. Black levels are deep and inky with no light bleed or halo effects. Shadow details in dark scenes are clearly visible. The level of detail is outstanding. Despite the massive 85-inch screen, heat output is surprisingly low. After continuous use for 7-8 hours, the back of the TV is only slightly warm to the touch. The initial setup process was quick and smooth, with easy-to-follow on-screen prompts. The TV came pre-tuned nicely out of the box with excellent color accuracy. Reliability has also been rock-solid. I've used this TV extensively over the past month for 10+ hours daily without any hiccups or unexpected behavior. The wireless casting feature works great for both Android and iOS devices. Latency is very low, making it seamless to cast content from phones, tablets and PCs. It's super convenient for both entertainment streaming as well as screen mirroring for discussions or presentations. With best-in-class picture quality, robust casting capabilities, low heat output, and reliable performance, this 85-inch 4K TV has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it for both cinematic movie watching and presentation. The large screen delivers an incredibly engaging viewing experience that has to be seen in person to fully appreciate.
