I got this item on sale and it's exactly what I'm looking for as I move into my own place

I was looking for chef quality set of knives and wow did I hit a homerun with this set. They are sharp and feel great in use. Stylish and comes with all the knives most kitchens need.

Wow surpassed my expectations

Best knife set I've ever owned! And then I found it on sale for $68 is a no brainier! Couldn't pass these up even if I didn't need a knife set

Best knife set!

The Henckles knives are quite sharp and very sturdy. I expect to use them for years to come. The hardwood knife block is well made and very hefty.

Knife set was excellent

I found these on clearance for $56 which was a no-brainer since Mother's Day was approaching and my mom's current knife block was a decades old cheap made in China set. I figured these had to be better than that and they are. So far. Haven't had any rusting or peeling which seem to be the main complaints.

Probably worth it for $56, not worth $150-200

I bought these knives because of the modern look, the price, and the Henckel brand.  They are very sturdy and nice handles. They do however require excess maintenance to keep them looking nice.  They must be hand washed and dried with a towel immediately or they will rust if left in the sink or put in the dishwasher.  They also frequently retain a food film (see pic) on them that will not come off with a soapy sponge so to get this film removed I use a tiny amount of Barkeepers Friend scour cleanser.  The last set of Henckel knives I had for 10  years never did this.  So the stainless quality and upkeep is definitely not the same.  I am also not a fan of the larger serrated teeth on the steak knives. They don't cut as smooth as my old knives. I would not recommend mostly because of the extra effort to maintain them.

These knives are super sharp but after 1 wash they are already rusting. Too expensive to rust this fast. Our last set of knives were cheaper ones and never rusted.
