i love it easy to use, and clean and clean water.

Work perfectly right out of the box. I really enjoy it. Only had it for a week my plants are happy and I don't have to deal with a bunch of empty plastic jugs.

I like this water distiller though there is one thing that I dislike. It seems the hole in the top of the water jug lid, that catches the distilled water, is cut too far toward the middle and I have to prop it up on one end to properly align to the spout coming out of the distiller. That's the reason for the 4 stars. Other than that, I am pleased with this unit.

This is my second distilling unit, first being a similar looking unit but much more expensive.  I needed a second unit to keep up with our water needs yet was curious how this lower cost unit would perform - so I took the plunge.

The bottom line is that after a couple months of daily use, this unit performs  the same as our more expensive unit, from H2O labs.  The same residue remains in the reservoir after the distillation is complete, along with the sickening odor.  I am glad that whatever that is, we are not drinking it.  

There are some differences between the units.  This particular Vivo unit has an adjustable temperature setting, which must be set for each and every distillation.  Not a big deal at all, I just set it to 105C and off it goes.  But this precludes using a smart device or a timer to turn on and off the unit, if this is important to you.

The build quality, yes, is not quite as high- though it makes no real difference in the end product as far as I can tell.  The fan noise is the same, the residue build up and cleaning is the same.

The charcoal filter system is different - just having a pouch instead of a custom container.  Yet again, I experience no difference in function.

The Vivo is a 750 watt machine, versus  565 Watt for the H2O labs unit.  This makes the Vivo significantly faster at distilling each batch of water.  Whether this is a good or bad thing as far as water quality, I do not know and cannot tell personally.  The time is not an issue as in both cases the process takes many hours.

The longevity of this unit remains a question.  Up to now, the unit is is functioning admirably and reliably.  

For the price, I do not hesitate recommending this unit for anyone wanting to distill water at home.

So far, so good!  drinking clean water for pennies

Working well so far. Not a bad taste like my previous distiller. Also, it produces almost 4 quarts in 4 hours.  Fairly quiet, too  
Be careful installing the handle on the collection pot. Metal strips are sharp. Instructions for this were a bit vague to me. But, I figured it out after nicking my finger. -

These mass produce items make anyone into a vendor/retailer. Unfortunately, these items are not made by an established trustworthy company, like GE or Hamilton Beach.  This is my 3rd water distiller, this one's filter started dripping grey water after a few weeks.  After 3 months, the drip nozzle began leaking, so instead of water going in the jar, it went on the counter and the floor.  The seller doesn't care, they sell junk.  If you need a distiller get the cheapest one because they don't last very long.  I purchased in late June 2021, so there's plenty more to go wrong.  Maybe it will last a year. At least it has a washable glass jar and it can be turned off and up or down.

Not like plastic bottles but headed to landfill

Tried to use this 3 separate times and while changing direction of lid and even covering different parts and it leaked badly every time. The worst part is the leak was right above where the power chord runs down and after 2.5 uses, it is already showing sign of wear on the cable. This is not just annoying but dangerous. Definitely returning it and will not buy from them again.

Dangerous and useless.

The handle is impossible to put together.  there should be 4 nuts instead of 2.  also, the filters were missing, (not a big deal) BUT i have not been able to use my distiller -- they told me to send pictures.  i don't know how to send pictures.  What does that have to do with anything.  I have been purchasing distilled bottled water ever since.  We are 80 years old, disabled, etc., etc..  why won't they send us the two nuts that are missing for the handle???

Unhappy with NO results we got from the seller.

The instructions are horrible. The machine is scratched and looks like its been used. It also has mix matched parts. I contacted the seller to return and they asked what the issue was. I explained and emailed back and they asked me the same question for 5 days. I finally contacted Walmart support and they issued a refund.

I should have read the real reviews before buying.
