its great quickly cools our 2br apartment. I love the features. the exhaust is in a window we dont use so we can leave it there. if its a cool enough day we open the other windows. it can be used just as a fan too.

The unit looks and works like new.  However, the packaging was not great and it is hard to believe it got delivered undamaged.  Some hardware and batteries were omitted.  The worst part is the unit only comes with a 30 warranty although Walmart allows returns for 90 days.  If it sold in new condition, why is there not a new one year warranty.  This was not noted anywhere in the product listing.

It weighs about 85 pounds. Mine came in a Toshiba factory box. Minimum requirement of 15 amp breaker for the room it's installed in. I have a 55 inch TV, three consuls, a laptop, a printer, and a mini fridge all hooked up to the same breaker as my AC unit. The AC unit uses 11.5 amps. I highly recommend you read all the material that comes with your AC unit. Easy to install. Does not come with drain hose to drain water from Dehumidification or a drain pan. If you have pets and you get the dehumidifier going I recommend an old water gallon jug as a drain bucket.  When unboxing I recommend keeping the plastic straps on the box (don't cut straps), just in case you need to return it. Comes with a 90 day return policy and you can return the item to the store, still have to print out the return label from the Walmart app or website.  I am very happy with my Toshiba portable AC and I hope this helps you make your decision on getting this one or not.

What you need to know

I'm a a great unit as far as keeping your space cool I will give it credit for that. The only thing is that it makes a rattling noise buzzing like noise which is unfortunate because the systems seems like a nice unit and it does keep cool for the space I have it in.

Good but buzzing

The compressor runs much louder than any A/C or refrigerator I've used, a loud metallic sound that only adds to the fan noise. The condensate tray only seems to hold a cup of water, enough for one hour of cooling before getting another 'P1' error. You'll want some way of dealing with the condensate from the lower drain; rolling it out the door is tedious.

Didn't get anything to come out of the upper drain when running in 'Dry' mode, despite all the water collected in 'Cool' mode.

Seemed like it would've done well were I able to keep it running continuously and in a separate room. Remote control functionality is nice and top panel is easy to use.

Vent door is easily shoved out of gear, and the unit spends a minute waiting for it to open before running the fan, and another minute before running the compressor.

Bought refurbished, which apparently doesn't include filter cleaning. Had to vacuum the side filter right out of the box. Upper back filter is now integrated into the panel, even though it looks like it should be holding a separate filter behind the panel.

Loud and quick to fill

I have bought this unit before brand new and it works great, however, this one they shipped me was missing both the drain tube and all the plastic bolts that go in the slots to hold the kit together to attach to the screen. Walmart does no ship out these missing items, I have to go find them at Home Depot or something, real bummer.

Missing pieces and parts!

Initially I decided to buy a toshiba brand due brand reputation and recognition, but this thing is a noise maker in the making. There is no way that an a/c compressor can make that insane amount of noise in this day and age; basically, I can hear the noise from a different room of the house. It is a loud and strident noise. Also, I have other portable a/c unit similar to this one and it does not produce anywhere close to the amount and type of noise that this unit produces. It must be defective. 

Also, upon removing the upper filter I noticed that a small part of the condenser fins is deformed and bent. 

It was time consuming and requires effort to bring this unit to the third floor and then put it place, etc; just to find out that it produces that insane amount of noise. It must be a defective unit, and to ship that heavy unit back will be a real pain.

A Real Noise Maker, must be a defective unit.
