Parking Has Never Been So Easy
The STKR Garage Parking Sensor mounts easily and quickly to the wall, workbench, shelf, or any surface in front of your vehicle. There is no longer a need to dangle from the ceiling a stringed tennis ball or mount potentially harmful laser devices. It also eliminates the need to clutter the garage floor with parking blocks or other trip hazards.

AdjustabilityThe STKR Parking Sensor utilizes ultra-sonic pulses to determine the exact distance between the vehicle and the sensor. Close the garage door with confidence, knowing the back-end of the vehicle is safely inside the parameters of the garage. Leave just enough space in front of a vehicle to access a fridge or work bench. |
Easy to Mount, Easy to SetTo calibrate the unit, first simply mount it with the supplied Velcro and double-sided tape. Then, park the vehicle in the desired stop zone and press the RED 'set distance' button. The STKR sensor allows the user to select the exact location they would like to park their vehicle, anywhere from 6 in to 6 ft. |
Walkway LightWhen exiting a vehicle there is often a dark spot between the vehicle and the wall where the driver or passenger has to pass through. The STKR Parking Sensor illuminates that spot, creating a safe and well lit walkway. The light will illuminate in conjunction with the red light on the sensor, and is on a timer to turn off after 45 seconds. |

Pretty Great Solution to Your Tight Parking Woes
Aaron's Test Lab
Product Description
The STKR Parking Sensor is designed to take the guess work out of parking your car in tight garage spaces. It features adjustable, ultrasonic range-finding technology. Simply mount the sensor unit in front of your vehicle at bumper level, then mount the signal light in a position easily viewed from the driver's seat. Lastly, park your vehicle exactly where you want it and press the set button. That's it! Next time the driver approaches the Parking Sensor, they will see a green light indicating that it is safe to proceed, then a yellow light warning to slow down, and finally a red light when the chosen stopping point is reached. The STKR Parking Sensor eliminates the dents and dings from garage "fender benders" and allows you to safely close the garage door every time. Easy to install with the included double sided tape and Velcro, and adjustable between 6 inches and 6 feet. New upgraded version is powered by standard USB cord or 4 AA batteries (not included).

but... it eats batteries like a beast! it also has a 'courtesy' light that activates when the device detects a object that stays on FAR too long. i suppose if you had 2 sets of replaceable batteries( 1 in the device and the other recharging) you could live with this fault. i chose to get a different device that plugs in. if u dont mind replacing batteries every week or 2 then this may work for you. it does do exactly what they say it does so there is that.
I preorder a 6V AC/DC adapter so that I can solder the ends to the battery compartment. To my biggest surprise, the unit has a micro USB input which essentially eliminates the need for batteries. Why was this not advertised on the product page? This seems to be the biggest complaint and the manufacturer/vendor needs to make this known.
I was very happy and my only other issue was the length of the sensor to the unit. I have a chest freezer that it needs to be mounted so I had to cut the wire and add the extra length I needed. Beware of the wire size as it is extremely small and fragile (26 AWG perhaps or smaller). I managed to get it all done and it works like a charm.
The micro USB power acts as a battery eliminator and hope their product page gets updated.
Updated January 10, 2021 - The unit still works fine with no issues. It's cold now in the garage and the yellow light flickers every 10 to 20 seconds or so. However, the unit still functions as intended.

Once I installed the clips, I discovered another, fatal, problem. On my garage door the fitting that attaches to the wire from the counterbalance spring wraps around the track and hits the clip for the side sensor as the door comes down. This product will not work with my garage door unless I find a way to mount the sensor to the wall of the garage instead of to the track. It would have saved me a lot of time, and Amazon and STKR a lot of money, if I had been told about this incompatibility before I purchased the sensors. As it is, the two sensors I purchased will probably have to be returned.
I'm raising my rating from one start to three, because the sensors do work. But three stars instead of five due to the problems with the track discussed above, plus two additional issues.
I managed to mount the clip that holds the sensor on a wood block using two #6 screws, and then I mounted that wood block on a stud next to the garage door. I am not using the door tracks at all. So, now on to the issues.
The USB power cord provided with the sensor is 1 FOOT LONG! That is a joke. Even people who may have power outlets in their garages would not likely have one within one foot of the sensor. Why supply a UBS power cord at all if it is going to be ONE FOOT long? I have an outlet near the sensor, but I needed a 6-foot USB cord to connect from the adapter in the outlet to the sensor.
The second additional issue is that the USB C power jack on the sensor is at the bottom of the ultrasonic sensor itself, not on the body of the device. The sensor is attached to the body with a rather fragile plastic arm. If the power cord is somehow snagged or pulled that could cause the arm with the sensor to break off of the main body. I can't figure out why any engineer would put a power socket on fragile arm instead of on the far more robust body of a device.
