Got here rather quickly. Shaves ice extremely fast. Be sure to power off and not just leave the lever up, thinking he power is off. You cat may walk on it and push the lever down and make it start up again and if your, say in bed asleep and don't realize it, then it can start an electricle fire. I learnt my lesson from experience, so this is my second one. There actually pretty good machines

Arrived early. It was well packaged. Pretty solid machine. This machine shaved the ice pretty well, like snow. Best method is to fill red solo cups about halfway with filtered water to make a cylinder chunk. Cut cup in half to remove ice block. Insert big side into machine and flip on switch. Slowly press down on the ice. When finished, dry out machine with paper towels to prevent blade rusting. But for under $50 its well worth itArrived early. It was well packaged. Pretty solid machine. disappointed, NOT what is was expecting based on reviews,
Pros -can fit on counter top -sturdy heavy duty electric cord -okay over all Cons -the ice is not shaved as a snowball stand, I have tried different cuts/styles of ice, but never comes out shaved like the stands -ice shavings have ice chunks mixed with the shaved ice which makes it more like a original snowball not a shaved ice snowball -water drains on the counter top after use it is a lot of water, you need to place machine on a drainage mat to catch the water -the silver ice tray is not the best, once the ice drops into the pan it begins to melt and becomes watery. This makes the ice shaving clump together and it becomes watery in the cup, maybe a plastic tray would be better -unable to place a cup below the shaved ice dispensing slot because it is very close to the base of the ... Great snow cone maker
This machine is solid and shaves ice in seconds, even hard ice from my ice maker. Unfortunately, the item description said “ice crusher”/shaver. If you want crushed ice this is not for you. I wanted to make cocktails with crushed ice but got snow cone ice. The price was great. It is somewhat messy with shaved ice going everywhere but I had it in my sink so no problem there. I really wish it crushed ice because I would have kept it. Returning it was easy and quick. I guess I will still be looking for an electric ice crusher!This machine is solid and shaves ice in seconds, even hard ice from my ice maker. I bought this ice shaver for my son's family for Christmas. It is a good quality product that shaves ice quickly. It is a BIG hit. The kids love it. They already have plans for a snow cone stand in the summer.
