I am very happy with my new knife and with the purchase and delivery process. The knife is exactly as pictured and maybe even better. It fills one of the slots on my 19 slot block formerly occupied by the steak knife portrayed as a utility knife. I am stoked that someone provides a German made option of this knife for a fairly reasonable price.

Somewhat disappointed.
While it seemed a good price, it did not meet my initial expectations. It's a very traditional design for a prep knife. Fairly light with good balance and fairly comfortable handle (handle could have been a bit larger). However, the blade was rather dull with prominent grinding marks. I had to sharpen it before I used it. I haven't used it enough to see how well it holds it edge. However, it took some effort to sharpen it suggesting a relatively hard alloy. Hence, I have hopes it will hold an edge fairly well. I selected the Zwiling brand because it's made in Germany as opposed to its Henckels brand which appear to be made in China. I have other Zwilling knives that are of excellent quality. I am somewhat disappointed.While it seemed a good price, it did not meet my initial expectations. This is a great do-everything knife. It is razor sharp that sharpens right up with a steel. It's the only knife I use in the kitchen.
